If your answer is YES to all of the above, then please read on. One of the interesting projects that we have embarked upon is the Falling Film Heat Exchanger Project. This project is actually an ENERGY SAVING PROJECT because our customers decided to recover back the used leach hot water which was supposed to be directed to the waste water treatment system. As this water is full of protein and is heavily concentrated, a falling film Heat Exchanger is proposed to overcome the problem of clogging, (I heard some of you asking.) So, instead of discharging hot water at say, 85Deg C to the waster water treatment system, we pass this water through a vertical falling film Heat Exchanger. Note Before and After, there is a Heat Recovery system to the original cold water entering the Falling Film Heat Exchanger.  Water which is pump to the top of the Heat Exchanger are passed through a series of Stainless Pipes and are designed to "stick" to the wall of the inner tube so that it flows down smoothly, hence giving a high heat exchange scenario. It is almost similar to spraying water on to the top of a glass and watching the water flow down smoothly.  Not only the heat recovery was successful, the result temperature actually SURPASS the expected requirement, hence further save up money for the company, much to the delight of our customer.
